trees trees

We do lot of many things which are useless in our life. We do our daily routine. We eat, wash ourselves and work!! What else we can do. Lot of things, which we are potential from inside , why not do it . Recently when I was browsing the net, I found something really interesting. The routine life has been boredom as we go to coffee shop and sit there and chits chat! Is this a life which I am going to lead. No way. Make something very big and let the society follow it. I thought I could share in this blog. UN has come up with the idea of planting 100million trees in your community (world). UN has 8 millennium development goals. One of them is Ensure environment sustainability. Wow this is amazing one, an average person utilizes 16 trees for oxygen to survive his/her life span. I did not know till I read this article saying this. In my life I think I would have just planted 6-7 trees. I think this is a right cause where we could make a difference world over. We need to create this awareness and to encourage planting of trees. We need to stand up event on 17th -19th October. We could stand as group or organization for just for 2min any where. Don’t we have time for this for our own environment!! We should right why not do it ?? We could photographed the group min 100 members. This is could be sent to . Hey art of living is also one of the partners for it, art of living is a world famous non profit organization, it has made a difference to society. Last, year 6.5million took part in Stand up for the cause of poverty. Why not as individual we could contribute by propagating this to our friends. Let us stand up for the cause which could benefit for us.

The other day, the ex-director of jipmer, Prof Bist, was telling me with pride that he,along with his wife, planted most of the trees in the campus .More than all his research and academic achievements he keeps telling about the trees. I guess he has a reason.
Yes, its a good idea... a living natural clock ... Plant a tree and watch it grow and when you grow old, the tree will still be there reminding you of the good times. May be they will sway at you in silent appreciation when you walk by...
